This Is One of the Coolest Indie Games You’ll Ever Play

When I finished playing Oxenfree, I was completely hooked and immediately wanted more. The game’s atmosphere, dialogue, and supernatural mystery stayed with me long after the credits rolled, so I decided to look for other games developed by Night School Studio. Luckily, I ended up discovering another title that entertained me just as much: Afterparty.

Afterparty is a story-driven adventure game packed with humor, emotion, and unforgettable moments. From the very beginning, I was drawn into its strange and stylish world, and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s one of those indie games that feels creative from start to finish and leaves a strong impression on the player.

The story follows Milo and Lola, two best friends who suddenly find themselves dead and trapped in Hell without understanding why they ended up there. Determined to escape, they set out on a bizarre adventure through the underworld, and it’s up to the player to guide them through the chaos. The game mixes comedy with emotional conversations in a way that feels natural and surprisingly heartfelt.

What makes Afterparty especially interesting is its unique interpretation of Hell. Instead of the dark and terrifying version most people imagine, the underworld here is filled with bars, clubs, neon lights, and nonstop parties. Throughout the game, Milo and Lola travel through these wild locations while meeting strange demons, competing in drinking games, and trying to outsmart Satan himself. It’s such a creative concept that the game instantly stands out from other narrative adventures.

Although Afterparty shares some similarities with Oxenfree in terms of dialogue systems and exploration, the overall tone feels very different. Oxenfree leans more into mystery and suspense, while Afterparty focuses more on comedy, friendship, and chaotic energy. Even so, both games show how talented Night School Studio is at creating immersive stories and believable characters.

Visually, the game is vibrant and beautifully designed, with colorful environments that constantly capture your attention. The soundtrack also deserves praise because it perfectly complements the game’s party atmosphere and emotional moments. Every detail feels carefully crafted, which makes the entire experience even more memorable.

If you enjoy indie games with strong storytelling, creative worlds, and memorable characters, Afterparty is definitely worth playing.
